Anti-Corruption Commission to Pursue Stolen Funds Next Week

 

Sudan’s Prime Minister Kamil Idris met in Khartoum with the head of the Anti-Corruption and Public Funds Recovery Commission, Lieutenant General (Police) Abdeen Al-Tahir, in the presence of Justice Minister Abdallah Dirif.

In a press statement, the commission’s head said the meeting discussed all issues related to the launch of the Anti-Corruption and Public Funds Recovery Commission, confirming that all impediments hindering its work have been removed.

He announced that the commission is scheduled to begin operations at the start of next week.

Al-Tahir expressed confidence that all remaining requirements would be finalized soon, following assurances from the Prime Minister, adding that the commission’s work would proceed as planned in the coming period.
