Trump’s Adviser Holds Warning Call with RSF Leadership

White House Adviser for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos disclosed that he had held a telephone call with the leadership of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), urging it to refrain from any actions that could jeopardize civilians in Al-Obeid and its surrounding areas, amid growing international concerns over the deteriorating humanitarian and security situation in the city, which hosts hundreds of thousands of displaced persons (IDPs) in addition to its original residents.

In a post on X, Boulos said the United States was “deeply concerned” by reports that the RSF and allied forces were massing around Al-Obeid, warning that such movements could heighten the risk of attacks on civilians and potential mass atrocities at a time when Sudan is facing what he described as a devastating humanitarian crisis.
