Army Surprises Militia in Swift Operation West of El Obeid

Sudanese Army units carried out large-scale sweeping operations west of El Obeid, the strategic capital of North Kordofan State, in a move aimed at tightening the security cordon and fully securing the city’s western approaches.

A correspondent for Al-Unwan 24 TV, citing an authenticated official source, reported that the Sudanese Armed Forces launched a surprise and bold attack on positions belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the western outskirts of El Obeid.

The swift operation resulted in the destruction of a number of combat vehicles along with their full military equipment, while inflicting heavy losses in personnel and hardware on the targeted forces.
