Switzerland to Host Sudanese Political Meeting Under International Oversight

Sources told Asharq that Switzerland will host an important meeting of Sudanese political forces later this June, with the participation of around 25 Sudanese political figures alongside international observers.

According to the sources, the meeting will discuss developments in the political file, peace initiatives, and the relationship between the political and military tracks, within efforts aimed at advancing Sudan’s political process toward a comprehensive settlement.

Participants are also expected to discuss the possibility of linking the meetings to initiatives proposed by the international quintet and quartet mechanisms, in a bid to enhance national consensus and pave the way for practical solutions supporting stability in Sudan.
