RSF Transfers Dozens of Shackled Civilians from West Bara to Nyala

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia has transferred dozens of detainees from western Bara in North Kordofan State to prisons in South Darfur State, amid growing fears of abuses against civilians.

Western Bara recently witnessed armed clashes between RSF fighters and gunmen from Dar Hamid tribe in the villages of Murra and Om Saadoun Al-Sharif, leaving dozens of civilians and militia members dead.

Witnesses and multiple sources told Darfur24 that the militia transported the detainees aboard four combat vehicles to the city of Nyala.

The witnesses said they saw civilians in handcuffs onboard the vehicles.

The RSF has launched a wide arrest campaign targeting individuals accused of involvement in the recent events in Murra and Om Saadoun Al-Sharif west of Bara.
