Heatstroke Claims Lives of Two Police College Students, Police Open Investigation
The Sudanese Police Headquarters (Guidance and Services Authority – General Directorate of Media and Public Relations) has mourned two students from the 51st intake of Customs professionals who died following a sudden medical condition.
The deceased were Police Student Mohamed Bakheet Mohamed Adam and Police Student Khalid Faisal Ahmed Hamed.
The police spokesperson said in a statement that the two students suffered an acute health emergency and were immediately transferred to the Police Hospital in Buri for medical treatment, but later passed away.
Following the incident, the competent authorities took the required legal and administrative procedures, including opening a case under Article (51) procedures at Al-Barari Police Station.
Medical and forensic reports confirmed that the cause of death was severe dehydration resulting from heatstroke.
The police said the bodies were handed over to their families after completion of official procedures and were buried at Hamad Al-Nil cemetery in a funeral attended by official and community representatives.
The Ministry of Interior and Police Headquarters extended their condolences to the families of the deceased and their colleagues, praying for mercy upon them and patience for their relatives.
The Ministry reiterated its full commitment to ensuring the safety of all its personnel and students at the College of Police Sciences and Law.
