Drones Hunt Down Militia Commanders Inside Their Homes in Nyala and Al-Daein

In a sudden and sophisticated aerial escalation, drones belonging to the Sudanese army reportedly targeted the headquarters and residences of senior Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia commanders in the cities of Nyala and Al-Daein, turning what were described as their “safe havens” into open bombardment zones.

In Al-Daein, East Darfur State, drone strikes were launched at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, targeting four sensitive military sites.

The bombardment reportedly included the residence of the so-called head of the militia’s civil administration, Mohamed Idris Khater, the home of the militia commander in the state, Mohamed Naji, as well as the residence of the deputy commander, Haroun Abdullah, in the Al-Baytari neighborhood.

Sources told Darfur24 that casualties were reported among security personnel and civilians amid a state of panic that swept through the city due to the precision of the strikes.

Simultaneously, the city of Nyala in South Darfur State witnessed similar strikes targeting commanders’ residences in Al-Mazad and Al-Riyadh neighborhoods, as well as areas surrounding the militia’s command headquarters near the Airport district.

The attack comes in the wake of a series of powerful explosions that have shaken Nyala in recent days, including blasts reported at Nyala Airport and “Al-Mazlagan” training camp.

Local residents and sources in Nyala said drones believed to belong to the Sudanese army had targeted militia commanders’ headquarters and homes. The strikes follow a series of major explosions that the city has experienced over the past four days.
