Full Details of Al-Dagalo Drone Strike on the Kaykal Family

In a bloody toll that reflects the brutality of systematic targeting, the number of victims in the massacre carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia against the family of the commander of the Sudan Shield Forces, Major General Abu Agla Kaykal, has risen to 14 fatalities. The attack took place in the village of Al-Kahli Zidan in eastern Al-Gezira State.

The family officially announced the suspension of mourning rituals and the prohibition of holding a condolence gathering, in a clear indication of postponing funeral ceremonies until retribution for the victims is achieved, as well as out of fear that the militia could exploit gatherings to target civilians again.

Sources revealed that the strike, carried out by a drone at dawn on Sunday, led to the annihilation of an entire household.

Among the victims were eight children and two women. The dead included Major Azzam Kaykal (brother of Major General Abu Agla), his wife, and their four children—the eldest of whom was no older than eleven—as well as several cousins and other relatives.

For his part, Major General Abu Agla Kaykal paid tribute to the “martyrs of the Battle of Dignity” among both civilians and military personnel.

In a brief message following the burial, he affirmed that the blood of his family would serve as a beacon for victory, stating firmly: “Allah willing, we will prevail.”

He reiterated the continuation of the battle until the militia is defeated, declaring that there is no mourning or weeping for the brave, and affirming their determination to move forward in liberating the country and ending the presence of the rebel militia across all Sudanese territory.

In the same context, the media adviser to the Sudan Shield Forces, Youssuf Omara Abu Sin, stated that these grave sacrifices—which claimed the lives of children and women inside their own home—would only strengthen the forces’ resolve to continue the path of liberation. He stated that the incident represents the cost of Major General Kaykal’s alignment with the national cause, after his forces played a role in the recapture of Al-Gezira State earlier this year.

A drone affiliated with the RSF militia had targeted the residence of the family of Sudan Shield Forces commander Abu Agla Kaykal—aligned with the Sudanese Armed Forces—in Al-Gezira State in central Sudan, resulting in the killing of several family members, including his brother, Major Azzam.
