Joint Force says it moves under army command, presence poses no threat to civilians
The Joint Force of Armed Struggle Movements said on Wednesday that it had detected systematic media disinformation campaigns aimed at spreading falsehoods against the Sudanese Armed Forces and the state leadership.
It said recent field movements across various military fronts had “disrupted the calculations of the militias and exposed their weakness” on the ground.
In an official statement, spokesperson for the Joint Force, Mutawakkil Ali, described these campaigns as part of psychological warfare used by militias and their supporters to offset battlefield losses. He said those behind the rumours were seeking to spread fear among civilians and cover up their successive military failures.
The statement stressed that all movements by the Joint Force are carried out in full coordination and in accordance with directives from the state’s “Command and Control Room,” within operational plans that prioritise security, stability, and civilian protection.
It reassured citizens that the presence and movements of the Joint Force do not pose any threat to civilians, but rather serve as a safeguard for protecting territory and honour and countering attempts to undermine national security.
The force urged the public not to circulate rumours spread through unofficial channels and to rely on official military and state media sources, calling on citizens to support the forces defending the country in order to defeat security threats.
