Justice and Equality Movement: Defection of “Al-Qubba” a Blow to Hemedti’s Leadership
Khartoum – Nihad Oshi
Political Adviser of the Justice and Equality Movement, Babiker Hamadain, described the defection of senior Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander Al-Noor Al-Qubba and his surrender to the Sudanese Armed Forces as an important step in the right direction.
He said the move reflects a deep awareness of the dangers of the path pursued by the militia, adding that it represents a strong blow to its leadership, particularly Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti” and his brother, who he said have sought to exploit tribal components and mobilize them against the state.
Hamdin stressed that there is no legitimate cause, nor any moral or objective justification, for continuing the fighting, noting that it has become clear that what is taking place is a scheme targeting the Sudanese people in their security, lives, and stability.
He expressed hope that the remaining militia leaders would follow Al-Qubba’s example, adding that continued fighting alongside the militia serves no purpose and only advances malicious external agendas seeking to destabilize and fragment the country.
