Sudanese Army Repels Dual Attack on Karkaraya Near Deleng

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) successfully repelled a coordinated attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and elements of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N) on the Karkaraya station in South Kordofan, in a battle demonstrating the armed forces’ readiness and capability to thwart coordinated assaults in one of the region’s most militarily sensitive areas.
According to field sources, the army broke the attack and forced the assailants to retreat after inflicting casualties and equipment losses, while continuing clearance operations to secure the surrounding area and prevent further infiltration attempts.
The attack comes amid a joint escalation by the RSF and SPLA-N targeting strategic positions in South Kordofan. However, the army swiftly contained the situation, leveraging the deployment of its units across the area and its familiarity with the terrain. Sources confirmed that the armed forces acted with high efficiency, targeting enemy gatherings and vehicles, resulting in the destruction of military equipment and the full restoration of control over the site.
