Penetrating the “Poison Mafia”: Foiling the Smuggling of 238 Kilograms of ‘Ice’ in the Red Sea State
The Anti-Smuggling Directorate in Red Sea State, in coordination with the General Intelligence Service, thwarted major smuggling attempts involving large quantities of narcotics (238 kilograms of “ice”), weapons, and a shipment of copper in a coordinated operation targeting several axes across the state.
The seizure was inspected by Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour, Wali of Red Sea State, in the presence of Major General (Police) Nabigh Al-Madani Ahmed Al-Madani, Assistant Director-General for Compliance and Facilitation and representative of the Director-General of the Sudanese Customs Forces, along with other senior officers and directorate directors.
The Wali praised the high professionalism and vigilance of anti-smuggling forces, affirming that the Customs Service represents a “shield and pillar of support” for the economy and national security, and commending the determination of the directorate’s personnel in confronting those who threaten the security of the
state.
