“Mourners’ Inferno” in West Kordofan: Militia Drone Strike Kills 43 Civilians
In a devastating humanitarian tragedy, about 43 civilians—most of them women and children—were killed after a drone belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia targeted a civilian truck carrying people on their way to attend a condolence gathering in West Kordofan State.
Humanitarian and local sources said the drone struck the truck between the areas of Al-Beeja and Madam, tearing apart and burning the victims’ bodies in a scene that made identification extremely difficult. The attack killed 43 people instantly, while eight survivors with severe injuries were transferred to Al-Fula Hospital in critical condition.
In a continuation of attacks on civilians, militia drones also struck Al-Fula market on the same day, killing the administrative director of Al-Fula Hospital, Abdul Habib Al-Asha. The shelling also claimed the life of a transport driver on Al-Nuhud Street, spreading panic among the defenceless residents.
