Son of Musa Hilal Threatens the Dagalo Family

In his first public remarks following the killing of his brother in Musteriha, North Darfur State by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) — which is engaged in conflict with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) — Fathi, son of tribal leader Musa Hilal, issued a series of threats directed at the Dagalo family.

Speaking after an attack on the area in which his father survived an assassination attempt, Fathi Musa Hilal said: “Those we have lost — foremost among them Haidar Musa Hilal, Tijani Al-Sharif, and Abdullah Omar Abdel-Nabi — we consider them martyrs.”

He added: “For the Dagalo family to come to an end, we will count thousands of martyrs in that cause. Those we have offered are not too dear for the homeland. But you must know very well, O Dagalo family, that we are coming — you mercenaries — and shame and disgrace upon you.”

In a video statement, he continued: “We will come to you soon, and we will return.” He also addressed members of his own community who had joined the “mercenaries,” warning: “We are coming for you as well.”

concluded: “Finally, to the person who killed the late Haidar — we know you, you filthy individual. You will see, and you will reap what you have sown.”
