Al-Burhan Reassures Leaders in Riyadh, Doha, and Amman Following Iranian Attacks
Sudan’s President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, conducted intensive diplomatic outreach on Sunday, including phone calls with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Jordanian King Abdullah II.
During the calls, Al-Burhan reassured the three leaders about the situation in their countries following the recent blatant Iranian attacks targeting their territories, affirming Sudan’s strong condemnation of these assaults. He reiterated Sudan’s firm support for any measures taken by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan to safeguard their security and stability, stressing their legitimate right to defend their sovereignty and protect their peoples.
Al-Burhan expressed Sudan’s “unlimited” solidarity—both government and people—with the Arab brothers against this aggressive and unlawful assault, wishing continued security and peace for the affected populations.
In response, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Sudan’s honorable stance, praising the depth of bilateral relations. Leaders in Qatar and Jordan also commended Sudan’s solidarity, noting that it reflects the unity of the Arab nations in facing current security challenges.
