In Two Weeks… 232 Killed or Injured by (Al-Dagalo) Drones in Kordofan

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk confirmed that drone strikes have killed nearly 100 civilians and injured many others in the Kordofan region over a period slightly exceeding two weeks.

Türk added before the UN Human Rights Council on Monday: “Over a period slightly exceeding two weeks, up to February 6, and based on documentation from our office, approximately 90 civilians were killed and 142 others injured in drone strikes.”

He also confirmed that these strikes “targeted a World Food Programme convoy, markets, healthcare facilities, and residential neighbourhoods in both South and North Kordofan.”
