Al-Mirghani Party Agrees to Participate in Transitional Parliament
Adviser to the Head of the Democratic Unionist Party (Origin), Hatim Al-Sir, announced his party’s preliminary approval to take part in the Transitional Legislative Council. He emphasized the importance of launching a comprehensive Sudanese-led dialogue within the country, under full national ownership, to end the war and establish sustainable peace.
Al-Sir, speaking at a meeting in Nile State, said that party leaders, under the guidance of party head Mohamed Osman Al-Mirghani, are currently preparing an integrated vision for forming the legislative council to complete the state’s institutions, in accordance with the Constitutional Document. He added that the party is also developing a political vision aimed at achieving lasting peace in Sudan.
He stressed that the upcoming phase requires a full Sudanese dialogue on Sudanese soil, led entirely by Sudanese ownership, to bring an end to the war, establish peace, and hand over the executive body to a transitional government capable of effectively managing the country’s affairs.
