Al-Burhan: No Move to Dissolve the Sovereignty Council

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has begun consultations with Sudanese political forces regarding the formation of the country’s transitional parliament.

Al-Burhan met with a group of Sudanese political actors, including the Democratic Bloc, as well as Dr. Al-Tigani Al-Sisi. During the meetings, Al-Burhan firmly ruled out any intention to dissolve the Sovereignty Council, stressing that reports circulating in this regard are mere conjecture and have no basis in reality.

Discussions also addressed the formation of the upcoming parliament and the mechanisms for its composition. Al-Burhan called on the political forces to prepare a clear vision regarding the structure and formation of the transitional parliament.
