Two Aerial Surveillance Aircraft Arrive in Al-Gezira State
Two police aerial surveillance aircraft arrived in the city of Wad Madani on Saturday morning to support security operations in Al-Gezira State.
Al-Gezira State Wali (Governor) Al-Tahir Ibrahim announced, during his inspection of the aircraft upon arrival, that the state government intends to acquire a full fleet of surveillance aircraft. He affirmed that aerial surveillance will strengthen the state government’s efforts to achieve security and stability.
The Wali welcomed—on behalf of the State Security Committee and the state government—the operations of Police Aviation within the state, underscoring full support and assistance for its work.
For his part, the Director of Al-Gezira State Police, Major General Abdel-Ilah Ali Ahmed, said the two aircraft constitute a real addition to the state’s security system and will reinforce police efforts in crime prevention, pointing to the importance of police aviation in securing the Gezira Scheme.
