Intense Airstrikes on Kauda and the Libya Border Triangle

Sudan’s Air Force has carried out heavy airstrikes targeting positions of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army–North faction led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu in Kauda, according to military sources.

The sources said the precision strikes inflicted substantial losses on the rebel forces, including casualties as well as the destruction of large quantities of weapons, equipment, and military vehicles.

In a related development, military sources revealed that warplanes also launched another attack on militia combat vehicles that attempted to infiltrate across the border with Libya. Dozens of combat vehicles and trucks loaded with ammunition and military supplies were reportedly destroyed.

Separately, an investigation by Reuters, citing military and intelligence sources, reported that the United Arab Emirates had supplied the militia via Libya’s Kufra airport through more than 105 flights originating from Bosaso airport in Somalia.
