Sudanese Army Scores Dual Victory in Babanusa

The 22nd Infantry Division of the Sudanese Armed Forces successfully repelled two consecutive attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the city of Babanusa in West Kordofan over Sunday and Monday (23–24 November 2025).

Military sources told Al-Tara Sudan that the latest assault occurred in the early hours of Monday, when the armed forces thwarted the attack and inflicted heavy losses on the attackers, supported by airstrikes.

The sources added that the army had also successfully repelled a similar attack on Sunday targeting the headquarters of the 22nd Infantry Division. They confirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces captured several vehicles used by the RSF during the attack and destroyed other military equipment.

“The army has achieved a significant victory in Babanusa, demonstrating its ability to protect the city and counter repeated attempts by the RSF,” the sources affirmed.
