Sudanese diplomat: Any recognition of the “imaginary Hemeidti government” is a hostile act against Sudan

Sudan’s ambassador to Ankara, Nadir Yousef Al-Tayib, has described the parallel government recently announced by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia as a “imaginary government” that lacks legitimacy and competence, stressing that any recognition of it would be considered a hostile act against Khartoum.

In an interview with Anadolu Agency, Ambassador Al-Tayib said that there were international reports documenting the crimes committed by the rebel RSF militia, and that the announcement of the parallel government is merely an attempt to show “we are still here,” but it is a wrong decision.

The ambassador accused the groups supporting the militia of seeking to divide Sudan. Ambassador Al-Tayib underscored that any recognition of this parallel government would be considered a hostile stance, saying, “We will not show any more tolerance. Unfortunately, Kenya was the first to host a meeting regarding this government and provided it with support, but we will no longer accept that and will confront any step that threatens the unity and stability of Sudan.”
