Sudanese Echoes has obtained information disclosing the true reasons for the dismissal of the Director of the Khartoum State Water Corporation, Mohamed Ali Al-Ajab, by the Wali (governor) of Khartoum State.

A high-ranking source revealed that the dismissed director was responsible for a technical error in the engineering specifications of pumps imported by the Corporation, which caused losses amounting to millions of pounds.

The source confirmed that the supplier company accepted the specifications it received from the Khartoum Water Corporation and refused to return the pumps and replace them with ones with new specifications. This left the Corporation facing a fait accompli and forced it to accept and install them after modifying the pumping system, which in turn caused huge financial losses for it.
