Interview: Ahmed Omar Khojali
The Wali (governor) of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, unveiled the arrest of outlaws wearing armed forces uniforms who were carrying out armed looting operations in safe areas. While acknowledging the decline of the phenomenon, he attributed the credit for this to the joint patrol and the security cell in the state.
At the same time, Khartoum State Wali sent a message to the army general staff who are managing the battle from the control center in the Command, demanding them to speed up the pace to resolve the battle.
He stressed that they managed the battle with wisdom, prudence and patience despite some people unjustly accusing them of treason in a hurry for victory.
Hamza confirmed in, an interview with (Sudanese Echoes), the participation of foreigners who were present in the state in the fighting alongside the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, most of them from South Sudan and Ethiopia.
He disclosed the arrest of a large number of Ethiopian women working as snipers alongside the militia. He expressed his regret for what the foreigners did, pledging to resolve it in the future.
He said, “There is no country in the world that allows the chaos of foreign presence within its territories to this extent.”
In the same context, the Wali revealed the arrest of a large number of citizens cooperating with the militia, explaining that they will be brought before court and will be tried on charges of undermining the constitutional order and inciting war against the state.
