Sudanese Attorney General: Terrorists recruited in outlaw RSF Militia

The Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, Al-Fatih Tayfour, revealed that the insurgent Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Militia committed 966 cases of sexual violations, crimes of sexual slavery and rape with the aim of changing the ethnic composition, breaking the dignity of the Sudanese. He explained, during press statements, that the number of cases of rape and sexual violence exceeds what has been monitored, as Sudanese society refrains from reporting such crimes for fear of social stigma.

Tayfour appealed to all those who have been raped to report immediately, reassuring that investigation and trial in rape crimes are carried out in a confidential manner.

The Attorney General unveiled that the RSF militia recruited 9,000 children, 4,494 of whom were killed. It also assaulted 36 prisons and released 19,446 inmates, some of whom were classified as terrorists, and recruited them to fight within its forces. He pointed out that these inmates committed war crimes, ethnic cleansing, genocide, and rape, noting that they are determined to bring the cases to an end.
