44 UAE Military Cargo Flights to Ethiopia Tracked in August to Support RSF Militia
Detailed investigative tracking of air traffic has revealed an intensive air bridge comprising 44 strategic military cargo flights that departed from bases and airports in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for Ethiopia during August 2026.
The intensive shipments come amid recent developments on the ground that have turned Ethiopian territory into a key hub and logistical launchpad for supplying the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in its war against the Sudanese people.
According to documented digital data uncovered by the investigation, the flights were operated by 13 Ilyushin Il-76TD heavy military transport aircraft.
Of the flights, approximately 22 military cargo flights arrived in Ethiopia from Al Reef Military Base in the UAE, while around 20 flights originated from Al Ain International Airport. Two additional flights arrived from Sweihan Air Base in the UAE during the same period.
