11 Emiratis, 37 Colombians and Libyans Killed in Army Attack

Mohamed Didan, spokesman for the Special Task Forces, issued strongly worded statements calling on foreign capitals and governments, as well as a regional regime, to “mourn” dozens of their nationals who were killed on the battlefronts while fighting as mercenaries alongside the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.

The military spokesman said the Sudanese Armed Forces, through a series of cumulative and carefully planned military operations, had succeeded in eliminating the entire threat along the Strategic Export Road and the southern and western axes of El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan. He announced that the army had fully shifted to an offensive posture and was extending its field control.

Didan called on the UAE government to mourn 11 Emirati mercenaries who, he said, were completely wiped out in a sweeping ground assault carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces on the international Export Road about six weeks ago. He also called on the Colombian government to mourn 14 Colombian mercenaries who were killed in a precision airstrike targeting three armored vehicles they were traveling in near Jabrat-Al-Sheikh in North Kordofan.

Didan also directly addressed Khalifa Haftar, commander of the Libyan National Army in eastern Libya, calling on him to mourn more than 23 Libyan mercenaries who, he said, were killed and eliminated by Sudanese forces along the Export Road and in the exposed Desert Axis.

The UAE Ministry of Defense had previously mourned two officers, claiming that they had died while carrying out a “training mission inside the country,” without disclosing the nature of the mission or the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
