Washington Vows to End RSF Atrocities in Sudan
The U.S. Department of State announced on Wednesday morning that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia had taken control of El-Fashir with support from Colombian fighters, stressing that Washington is working to end the atrocities taking place in Sudan, according to the Associated Press (AP).
The United States had previously imposed sanctions on four individuals and four companies accused of recruiting Colombian mercenaries to fight for — and train — the RSF militia, which Washington accuses of committing acts amounting to genocide.
