Warplanes Destroyed the Runway and Control Towers at Neyala Airport

Warplanes bombed Neyala Airport in South Darfur State on Tuesday, destroying the runway and control towers. The bombing also targeted the headquarters of the 16th Infantry Division.

The airstrike on the airport came a few days after it received a large cargo plane that various sources say unloaded heavy weapons.
The official authorities did not issue any comment regarding this plane, which landed in the area under the control of the outlaw Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Militia.

Military sources told “Sudan Tribune” that the airstrike destroyed the runway, in addition to the control towers, administrative offices and halls inside the service facility.

They revealed that the warplanes also destroyed modern jamming systems that were located in Neyala Mountain, located in the east of the city. They also pointed out that warehouses that the rebel RSF militia were likely using to store military supplies near Al-Bair Raghib Girls Secondary School were targeted.

The sources indicated that the bombing also targeted the headquarters of the 16th Infantry Division, which is controlled by the terrorist rebel RSF Militia, and other sites in the town of Kass, west of Neyala.
