United Arab Emirates Warns Al-Hilu of Potential Army Strikes on Kauda
A senior officer who has defected from Abdulaziz Al-Hilu movement disclosed new details about the field and organizational situation within the group, confirming that its leader issued strict instructions banning all communications from inside the city of Kauda in recent days.
The defector said the decision followed warnings conveyed to the movement’s leadership by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding the possibility that the Sudanese Armed Forces could target command centers, weapons depots, and training camps affiliated with the group.
According to the officer, the measures are intended to safeguard operations rooms that are now being run in direct coordination with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and under external intelligence supervision, amid what he described as a complex battlefield situation marked by mounting tensions in the Northern Sector and a clear deterioration in the movement’s combat capabilities.
The source further revealed that the movement has suffered heavy losses in recent days, including the loss of approximately 110 fully equipped combat vehicles, amounting to nearly 40 percent of its military strength in just one week. He attributed these losses to intelligence penetrations carried out by the 14th Infantry Division in Kadugli, which successfully recruited several movement members over the past three months, enabling the exposure of positions and troop movements.
In a related development, field information pointed to the mass flight of RSF leaders toward South Sudan, following their involvement in selling large fuel consignments in exchange for U.S. dollars. Sources confirmed the monitoring of convoys of fuel trucks passing through the White Lake border area, amid reports implicating a logistics official linked to the Al-Hilu movement in the sales and smuggling operations.
These developments have reportedly triggered escalating disputes and internal unrest within the movement and among its allies.
