U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he has successfully ended eight wars and is approaching the conclusion of a ninth since the start of his second presidential term on January 20, 2025, emphasizing that his actions are not for awards but to protect lives, according to Daily Express.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino awarded President Trump the FIFA Peace Award during the World Cup draw ceremony held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The U.S. president expressed his happiness at receiving the award, noting that FIFA achieved unexpected profits from ticket sales. Trump described the honor as “one of the greatest recognitions of his life” and said it was a “great privilege” to receive the award.

Trump also indicated that he would meet with the leaders of Mexico and Canada to discuss trade issues following the leaders’ gathering in Washington for the 2026 World Cup draw, according to Reuters. Upon arriving at the Kennedy Center, he stated: “We will meet with both, and we are getting along very well.” The White House did not disclose details of the meeting, nor did it confirm whether Trump would meet the two leaders separately.
