To End the War… Minnawi Sets Seven Conditions for Dialogue with the UAE and Hemeidti
The Governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minnawi, has set a number of conditions for ending the war in Sudan.
Addressing the Sudanese people on the occasion of the “People’s Stand with the Armed Forces” day, Minnawi stated that the forces of evil had imposed a battle on the Sudanese in which they had no part, emphasizing that it was the people themselves who courageously defended their dignity, land, and history with determination and resolve.
Minnawi stressed that ending the war requires returning control to the Sudanese people by completely removing the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) influence and ending its presence on Sudanese land, in its airspace, and waters.
He stipulated the expulsion of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) elements from residential areas, schools, hospitals, and public facilities, and the clearing of main roads leading to cities and markets, so that life can return to normal.
The Darfur Region Governor called for the handover of international crossings, borders, and airports to the legitimate authority to prevent any violations of Sudanese sovereignty.
Minnawi demanded the release of all abductees and the reopening of RSF prisons to the International Committee of the Red Cross to ensure the rights of detainees.
The Head of the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army stressed the necessity of severing ties with all mercenaries brought in by foreign countries, whether from abroad or within Sudan. He also called for gathering Sudanese fighters in designated areas to organize ceasefire procedures and create an opportunity for peace.
He affirmed the need to hold accountable all those who committed crimes of genocide, foremost among them the RSF leaders (Founders), and anyone involved in the destruction of Sudan.
Minnawi presented these conditions as crucial steps for rebuilding Sudan on solid foundations and for opening the door to dialogue with all parties who have shared interests with Sudan, in an environment of mutual respect where there is no room for exploiting the will of the Sudanese people.
