Surprise Meeting Between Agar and Abiy Ahmed Mediated by Djibouti President
Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Malik Agar met Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in Djibouti in an unexpected meeting that came days after Khartoum accused Addis Ababa of involvement in the bombing of Khartoum International Airport.
According to informed sources, the meeting was mediated by Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh as part of efforts to ease tensions between the two countries and restore direct communication channels between the Sudanese and Ethiopian leaderships.
The meeting is seen as an important diplomatic step amid escalating mutual accusations, with Djibouti seeking to play a regional mediating role to bridge differences and help preserve stability in the region.
