Sudan’s Intelligence Chief Holds Talks with Asian, American, and European Counterparts

The Director-General of the Sudanese General Intelligence Service, General Ahmed Ibrahim Ali Mufaddal, led a high-level delegation to participate in the third edition of the Baku International Security Conference, being held in the Azerbaijani capital during the current September 19-22.
The conference was held under the slogan “Interaction of Security Agencies in Preventing Humanitarian Crises and Man-Made Disasters During Terrorist Attacks and Armed Conflicts.”
It witnessed outstanding attendance by directors and leaders of security and intelligence agencies from 65 countries across Africa, Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Australia.
General Mufaddal exploited the occasion to hold a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and discussing security and humanitarian issues of mutual concern.
During the meetings, he provided a comprehensive briefing on recent developments in Sudan, highlighting the transitional government’s efforts to address security and humanitarian challenges. He drew attention to human rights violations committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, including atrocities against civilians and the siege of innocent people in El-Fashir and several towns in Kordofan.
Mufaddal emphasized the Sudanese government’s ongoing efforts to address the humanitarian crisis, noting the pivotal role it plays in delivering aid and opening all crossings to ensure assistance reaches those in need.
He further underscored Sudan’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation to tackle security and humanitarian challenges, contributing to regional stability and security.
