Sudanese Army Strikes Nyala Airport and Militia Camps in the City
The Nyala Airport came under a wide-scale air strike by Sudanese warplanes, according to satellite images taken on Tuesday showing four large burn marks — two near the runway and two close to the parking area — with multiple direct hits detected on both the runway and the tarmac, Al-Onwan 24 reported.
In a related development, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) carried out a drone strike early Tuesday targeting the Bileil Camp, located southeast of Nyala.
Field sources said the airstrike hit sites used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia as recruitment centers and weapons depots, including Bileil Camp, one of the militia’s main military positions in the area.
Local reports confirmed that the sound of explosions was heard clearly across the city following the strikes.
