Sudanese Army Launches “Task Force Al-Sayyad” Towards Kauda

The Sudanese Armed Forces have launched a new military operation under Task Force Al-Sayyad, advancing toward the Kauda area in South Kordofan, which serves as the main stronghold of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement – Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu faction.

The manoeuvre reflects an escalation on the ground and a shift in the rules of engagement between the two sides, amid no signs of a resumption of political dialogue or negotiations.
