Sudanese Army Enters Bara and Recaptures Umm Sayala
The Sudanese Army has announced that it has regained control of Umm Sayala in North Kordofan State after fierce battles with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
Soldiers released video footage showing the moment they entered the area and established full control.
On Monday, the Sudanese Army continued expanding its operations across the Kordofan region.
Military sources with consistent accounts reported that forward elements of the joint forces supporting the army succeeded to enter the strategic city of Bara, the second-largest urban center in North Kordofan State.
The sources added that the area witnessed hit-and-run operations, exchanges of gunfire, and the sound of heavy explosions, noting that the army continues to impose a siege on Bara.
No official statement has yet been issued by either the army or the RSF regarding these developments.
