Sudanese Army Conducts Airstrikes on Rapid Support Forces Positions in North Kordofan
The Sudanese army’s air force carried out airstrikes on positions of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in North Kordofan state.
The Sudanese Air Force focused its strikes on Bara, west of Al‑Obeid, Al‑Khuwai, Abu Zabad, and Al‑Nuhud in the states of West and North Kordofan, where RSF forces have been stationed for months.
Military sources told Al‑Tara Sudan that the army’s air force carried out the strikes on Monday on RSF positions in several areas along the export road and east of Jabra-Al‑Sheikh in North Kordofan.
According to the sources, the airstrikes destroyed at least 10 fully armed combat vehicles and resulted in dozens of RSF personnel being killed or wounded, according to preliminary estimates.
The sources confirmed that the air raids followed the detection of RSF gatherings, including fighters and mercenaries, reportedly preparing to launch an attack on Al‑Obeid city, which hosts thousands of displaced people.
