Sudanese Army Completes Sweeping Offensive and Reopens Al-Nuhud–Al-Dibeibat Road

On Sunday, the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Joint Forces completed their large-scale military operations as part of what has been described as a “sweeping offensive” across various combat axes in the Kordofan states, supported by hundreds of combat vehicles and substantial military reinforcements.

Field sources reported that the army launched extensive clearing operations from within the city of Al-Dibeibat to secure the area and impose full control over it. In a strategic achievement, the Sudanese army succeeded in reopening the Al-Nuhud– Al-Dibeibat road, paving the way for the restoration of movement and supply lines in the area.

These developments come in the aftermath of the “Epic of the Seven Axes” witnessed in Kordofan on Saturday, as army units continued pursuing remnants and leaders of the Rapid Support Forces militia who fled the confrontations. Reports confirmed that clearing and pursuit operations are still ongoing in the surrounding desert and forested areas to ensure they are free of any rebel pockets and to fully secure civilians.
