Sudanese Ambassador in Tehran: Sudanese Nationals in Iran Are Safe

Sudan’s Ambassador to Iran, Abdel Aziz Hassan Saleh, reported that all members of the mission, Sudanese students, and the wider Sudanese community across the Islamic Republic of Iran are safe so far.

Saleh told the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) that the embassy has been in contact with them and issued a statement advising them to remain in place and move only if absolutely necessary. He noted that all schools and universities in Iran have been closed.

He added that the embassy provided emergency contact numbers to the community and students as a precaution in case of internet outages in Iran.
