Airline officials have denied any suspension of flights to Portsudan Airport, citing rumors that spread following the United Arab Emirates (UAE) drone attack on the airport.

An investigation by Sudanese Echoes – published inner pages – disclosed that the flight delays, not suspensions or cancellations, occurred due to a backlog of flights.

Officials from SudanAir, Badr, and Tarco confirmed that flights are taking off and landing at Portsudan Airport.
They explained that the flights are being postponed and rescheduled, not canceled, as some have suggested. They emphasized that flights will return to normal situation soon.
