Seven Students Injured in RSF Drone Attack on Student Dormitory in Kosti
The Sudan Doctors Network announced on Monday that seven students were injured, some of them critically, after drones belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia targeted a student dormitory in the city of Kosti, White Nile State, on Sunday evening.
In recent weeks, drone attacks on cities and civilian areas have intensified, particularly those carried out by the RSF militia.
In a statement issued Monday, the Sudan Doctors Network said RSF drones targeted several civilian facilities in Kosti on Sunday evening, including Al-Goz student dormitory, which houses a large number of students. The attack resulted in seven students sustaining injuries of varying severity, some of them in critical condition.
The statement added that the strike caused extensive damage to parts of the student housing buildings and triggered panic among the students residing in the dormitory.
The network expressed deep concern over the targeting of student accommodation and civilian areas, warning that such attacks pose a direct threat to civilian lives and contribute to worsening the humanitarian crisis facing the country since the outbreak of the war.
