Secretary-General of Sudanese Islamic Movement Denies Calling for Separation of Darfur

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Movement, Ali Karti, has denied fabricated recordings and posts attributed to him in which he called for the separation of Darfur as a “good way out” for all Sudanese.
Some sources claimed that Karti called for the separation of Darfur, considering that the region had become a zone of conflict and tensions that had paralyzed Sudan, and that his call for a good way out was for all Sudanese, similar to what happened with South Sudan.
In a press release received by (Sudanese Echoes), Karti stated that the destiny of those with principles is to stand tall in the face of all attempts to undermine them, steadfast in the truth, and continuing on the paths of giving and loyalty.
Karti emphasized that his destiny in leading the Islamic Movement is to stand with truth and duty, aware of the gravity of the task and the weight of its burden.
Karti explained that he believes that the path to reform is not without thorns and challenges. He continued, “And Satan, despite his weakness, threatens to ambush them on Your straight path. And the will of Allah, the Almighty, will soon annihilate Satan’s plot. Indeed, My servants, you have no authority over them. Allah is our Guardian. And He is behind them, encompassing them.”
Karti stressed that the narratives of those with false motives will not shake him, accusing certain parties of slandering him and weaving stories and positions that have nothing to do with his affiliation or his belief in unity and unification.
Karti said, “They are trying to obstruct our progress and weaken our cohesive ranks out of envy and ignorance of the nature of our project.
Karti stated that he devoted his time and effort and sold himself to Alla, and Allah bought him.”
