Saudi Cabinet urges swift implementation of “Jeddah Declaration, calls for an end to the war in Sudan

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, chaired the Cabinet sitting in Riyadh.
The Cabinet expressed the Kingdom’s hope that the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, hosted by Egypt, will contribute to strengthening efforts to achieve security and stability in the Middle East.
The Council affirmed the necessity of alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people and the complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
The Cabinet also stressed the immediate need to end the war in Sudan, underscoring the importance of preserving Sudan’s unity and institutions, and sparing the country and its people further suffering and destruction.
Saudi Cabinet called for the urgent implementation of what was agreed upon in the “Jeddah Declaration” signed on 11 May 2023.
