Saudi Arabia Condemns Outlaw RSF Violations in Eastern Gezira

Saudi Arabia expressed its concern, on Saturday, over the ongoing fighting in Sudan and the escalation of violence against civilians, including women and children.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated, in a statement, that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) condemns, in this context, what happened recently in the eastern part of the Sudanese state of Al-Gezira, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries among civilians, a matter constitutes a violation of (international law) and the principle of protecting civilians.

 

KSA called for commitment and fulfillment of what was agreed upon in the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023, urging the warring parties to cease fire, end the conflict, and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to those affected.

 

The Kingdom renewed its firm position towards supporting Sudan’s stability and preserving the unity of its legitimate institutions, sovereignty, and independence, stressing that a political solution is the only way to end the crisis.
