SAF Launches Surprise Attack on Militia in Al-Fashir

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Joint Force surprised the RSF militia in Al-Fashir with a sudden attack.

The Resistance Committees Coordination in Al-Fashir confirmed, in a press statement, that SAF launched a heroic and unexpected offensive on the militia’s positions in the southern axis of the city.

SAF and the Joint Force succeeded in achieveming significant progress, regaining several key strategic positions that had been under the militia’s control.

According to the Coordination, this surprise offensive comes as part of the ongoing battle to repel aggression and restore full control over the city.

Meanwhile, journalist Muammar Ibrahim, based in Al-Fashir, reported that SAF attacked the militia’s positions across different axes, with heavy exchanges of fire between the two sides.

Field sources, according to Ibrahim, indicated that the confrontations could lead to major shifts on the ground.
