SAF completely destroys a militia force and advances into western Omdurman

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) repelled, on Sunday, an attempted attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on its areas west of Omdurman.
Sources reported to Al-Hadath that SAF repelled attacks targeting some positions in areas it had controlled in recent days in the Ombada area, west of Omdurman.
Military sources confirmed that the army launched a large-scale attack on the RSF militia after repelling the attack and completely destroyed the attacking force. This was followed by an offensive operation targeting new areas to advance and expel the RSF militia.
Field sources said that the army is continuing military battles against the militia in the far west of Omdurman, with advances on some main streets.
The military sources speaking to Sudan Tribune said that the army and its supporters, the General Intelligence Service and the Central Reserve Police, repelled a major attack launched by the RSF militia on the 125th Brigade headquarters located in the Fatasha area on the border with North Kordofan, and the Eagles Combat Camp of the Central Reserve Police in the Naivasha area.
The sources reported that the army inflicted heavy losses on the attacking force in personnel and equipment, forcing the remaining forces to withdraw towards the Omdurman-Bara export road.
