RSF Transfers Detainees from Kordofan to Darfur

Eyewitnesses reported on Monday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia transferred dozens of detained civilians and prisoners from Al-Nuhud in West Kordofan to Al-Daein in East Darfur.

Witnesses told Darfur24 that they saw two Land Cruiser pickup trucks loaded with detainees whose eyes were blindfolded, wearing civilian clothes, and showing signs of torture. The vehicles were observed entering Al-Daein coming from Al-Nuhud.

Security sources confirmed to Darfur24 that the RSF militia is gathering hundreds of prisoners and civilian detainees from active conflict areas in Kordofan, Al-Nuhud, prior to transferring them to Darfur.

The RSF militia reportedly detains civilians on charges of collaborating with the army, releasing some shortly after interrogation, while keeping others in custody for prolonged periods.
