RSF Militia Uses Patient Wards for Torture in El-Fashir Hospital

Field sources have reported that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia has transformed the Children’s Hospital in eastern El-Fashir into a detention facility, using patient wards to confine and torture individuals.

Sources indicated that the hospital, intended to provide medical care for children and patients, has been repurposed as a detention center, a move that has drawn widespread condemnation from local residents and medical personnel.

The development comes amid escalating violations in North Darfur, raising serious concerns about the targeting of civilian institutions and their conversion into military or security sites, further aggravating the humanitarian crisis and endangering civilian lives.
