RSF Militia Targets Oil Refining Station in Al-Jabalain with a Drone
A drone belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia targeted an oil-refining station in Al-Jabalain, White Nile State, southern Sudan, on Saturday, 15 November 2025.
Since the outbreak of the war in April 2023, the militia has repeatedly targeted oil infrastructure, destroying parts of it and putting other facilities out of service, in an attempt to weaken the army, which relies heavily on petroleum products to supply its forces with fuel.
According to sources, the attack caused some damage to the vital facility, which is responsible for refining petroleum.
Military sources told Ultra Sudan that an explosive (suicide) drone struck the Bashair Oil Refining Station in Al-Jabalain area of White Nile State on Saturday. The sources confirmed that the attack inflicted damage on the critical installation.
They added that the RSF militia has deliberately sought to destroy oil infrastructure after failing to seize control of it since the beginning of the war.
The sources emphasized that the destruction of essential facilities has become a tactic adopted by the RSF militia after losing hope of seizing power in the country.
